It is possible also to refit "old bolt, nut and washer" and ohter parts of steel too. The best way to do it
it to used the same way of galvanization as the producer in begin. If you change the style of galvanization
it can be happen that the hardness degree drop down about one level (sample : 10.8 to 8.8).
Bolt & nut for suspension and/or brake you buy better new. Anti-fatigue bolt also you have to used new.
If you want used bolt & nut maded from stainless steel please respect they technical specification. A4-80
are to compare with 8.8 bot over this hardness degree it will be cost like "gold".
So now we start to rebuild the engine with our fresh sprayed/paited block, heads and parts..........
parts maded from aluminium you have to polish and only so to refresh the anodizing.........
on this way.......buy also new rubber/silicon pipes/hoses.......
Perfect would be to exchange the hose clamps too. Stainless steel would be the best solution. But be care !
Not everywhere where they print "stainless steel" on is 100% "stainless steel" into ! Good that we stay in EU
and near of everthing got a speification. A good solution of "hose clamp" is --> W4 and the best --> W5.
parts of brass you have to polish and later to paint with 2K varnish.
certainly...you can play with the colors......but there where later you want
glue a badge you must polish with sandpaper or other.......
from now it is only fun to rebuild the engine.......
And therefore that you realy work nice you will see all litle mistake asap..........
Salute
Gregor
